One of the greatest football players and world athlete facing biggest challenge of his long time career after the Spanish court puts the verdict against the Argentinian forward regarding his tax fraud case. The Spanish court has been sentenced Messi together with his father Jorge for defrauding Spain tax system with the cost of $ 4.5 million. However, the verdict by the lower court can be appealed in the Spanish Supreme Court.

In just recent memory, Lionel Messi decided to retire from international soccer competition after the loss over Chile in the championship round of 2016 Copa America. Messi also marked some incredible milestones in European soccer with the combined 12 titles, both La Liga and UEFA tournaments respectively wearing FC Barcelona jersey. On the latest development, FC Barcelona team official Javier Tebas feared the possibility of leaving the team with the verdict of the Spanish court. Tebas believed that Messi is innocent on this tax related case.

Portugal, France will clash on UEFA Euro Finals

Top market free agent Mario Gotze has wide options

Based on the website Transfer Market, midfielder Mario Gotze is the top among the expiring contracts with the range of 35 million Euros (currency). There is a report that Gotze did not want to sign any extension with the Bundes Liga club Bayern Munich. It was after the news spread out the Bayern club that their new head coach Carlo Ancelotti will shake up the roster although they bagged their 25th over-all title over Borussia Dortmund. Gotze could eye the possible return to their last Finals opponent Borussia. Also included in the rumor are the two English Premier League teams such as Liverpool and Tottenham. Tottenham is the latest team in the rumor mill on Gotze because of wide contacts with them.  There is also a separate report that if Gotze joins Premier League, it could be the Hotspur.

RCD Espanyol signed defender Federico Fazio

The 29 year old Federico Fazio which is currently playing on English Premier League team Tottenham Hotspur is in finishing talks on the possible La Liga return with RCD Espanyol. HITC news agency cited that Fazio signed the 4-year contract with the Espanyol. The Tottenham will pay the transfer fee of Fazio. The RCD Espanyol expected Fazio will help the team in terms of defensive aspect for the preparation of 2016-17 La Liga season.  They are still in the improving stage to compete with other strong teams such as Real Madrid and co-town rival FC Barcelona. The 2016-17 La Liga season will kick off on August 21 of this year 2016.
